What age group does Kinder City accept?
Kinder City welcomes children from 9 months to 4 years old across our age-appropriate rooms designed to support every stage of early development.
How are children grouped at Kinder City?
Children are grouped by age and stage of development to ensure they receive the right level of care, learning, and support. Each room is carefully designed to provide a safe, engaging environment where children can build confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
As children grow and are ready for their next stage, they transition into the next room with support from our team to help make the move as smooth and comfortable as possible.
Does Kinder City offer outdoor play everyday?
Yes. We encourage outdoor play every day as part of our daily routine, giving children regular opportunities to explore, be active, and enjoy fresh air.
Our outdoor spaces are designed to support physical development, imaginative play, and learning through exploration, with covered areas allowing children to enjoy the outdoors in a range of weather conditions.
What meals and snacks does the nursery offer?
Our in-house chef prepares fresh, healthy meals daily.
We offer:

- Nutritious lunch and tea menus aligned with our healthy eating policy
- Vegetarian, vegan, allergy-friendly, and religious-diet options

What are your staff-to-child ratios?
We follow the EYFS statutory ratios to ensure safety, attention, and high-quality care:
- Baby Room: 1 adult to 3 children
- Toddler Room: 1 adult to 5 children
- Preschool: 1 adult to 8 children
What are your operating hours and academic term?
We open Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, supporting busy and working families. Kinder City is open 48 weeks per year and closed on:
- All bank holidays
- 1 week at Christmas
- 1 week at Easter
- First 2 weeks of August
What are your funding and fee options?
We offer a range of funded and private childcare options to suit different family needs. If you’re eligible for government-funded childcare, our team can guide you through the available funding and explain how it can be used at Kinder City.

Do you offer extra hours and holiday care?
Yes — extra hours are available (subject to space) and charged at the standard hourly rate. We also offer holiday care, which can be booked in advance. Our manager is always happy to support families needing additional sessions.
What qualifications do staff hold?
All Kinder City staff are paediatric first-aid trained, DBS checked, and either qualified or working towards an early-years childcare qualification. Every room has Level 3 qualified practitioners present at all times.
Our management team is highly experienced — both our Manager and Deputy hold a BA in Early Childhood Education and together bring over 30 years of experience working in nurseries.
How do you communicate with parents?
We use Famly, one of the leading communication apps in early years settings. When your child joins Kinder City, you will receive your own login, allowing you to:

View real-time updates (meals, nappies, sleep, activities)

Check bookings, session times, and invoices

Famtastic pre school my children love it and all the teachers. They really do care and go the extra mile for the kids 100/10!!
Kinder City is, in my opinion, an outstanding nursery. My eldest child attended here, and now my second child does too. I absolutely love the sense of community, the welcoming atmosphere, and the caring, friendly staff.
The manager, Safia, is fantastic—she is thorough, professional, and always keeps parents well informed and updated. The staff are equally wonderful. Shayla, Lacie, and Amanda have been part of both of my children’s journeys at the nursery, and they have all been amazing. The rest of the team are also caring, supportive, and dedicated to the children.
I have had a very positive experience with Kinder City over the years and would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing, and friendly environment for their child.

My child has been attending this nursery and we are very happy with the care and support provided. The staff are friendly, caring, and always make the children feel welcome. My child is happy, settled, and enjoys going every day, which gives us great peace of mind.

Communication with parents is excellent, and we always feel well informed about how our child is getting on. I particularly love the family app, which provides regular updates and gives us a great insight into our child's day and progress.

Our daughter has been attending kinder city since the beginning of the year, and we could not be happier with the care she has received. We’ve already recommended the nursery to our friends, the team have been amazing! They’ve been nurturing to our daughter’s individual needs and consistently provide timely feedback + observations on her developmental progress.
Management are also great, Safia is always quick to respond to any queries and incredibly supportive.
Lauren has also been stand out for me, and we’ve really seen a difference in our daughter’s day to day growth especially in her personal, emotional and her communication development.

It's a wonderful nursery. My daughter has settled in so well now thanks to the staff who treated her with so much patience and care and made her comfortable. My daughter is accepted in a nursery so close to my house now but I decided to still send my daughter to Kinder City even though it is further away just because I know she is being taken care of so well. Both my kids have used Kinder City since last few years and I couldn't be happier with service. My kids love going to nursery, management and all staff are really polite, professional and accommodating, there is a variety of food which is all halal, kids do a variety of activities, prices are very reasonable and most importantly, my kid's development at Kinder City was a very good stepping-stone for starting reception in primary school. We couldn’t be happier with Kinder City. From the very beginning, the team has been incredibly supportive, especially during more challenging stages like potty training – their patience, encouragement, and consistency made such a difference for us as parents.
What really stands out is the genuine sense of family they create. The continuity of key workers has been so important for our children, giving them familiarity, comfort, and strong bonds as they’ve grown. It’s clear the staff truly care about each child as an individual.
The facilities are fantastic too – there’s noticeably more space for the children to play and explore compared to other nurseries we looked at, which really shows in how active and engaged they are.

Kinder City is a great nursery. They are so helpful and understanding. We are incredibly grateful to the team at Kinder City for the care, dedication, and support they provide to our daughter. This Nursery has been apart of our lives for about 9/10 years when it first opened. All 4 of my boys have attended here. Brillant Nursery, will miss it when my youngest son leaves.
Honestly I don’t even know where to start with how amazing Kinder City has been with my girl. When I first applied and had a look round we were both so nervous but Safia and the staff made us feel so at ease and comfortable.
My girl absolutely adores nursery she has her days when she sometimes struggles to go mainly after holiday breaks but the nursery staff are so understanding and accommodating for these times.

Brilliant nursery. The teachers are very committed and very good at what they do. The management is very efficient in their communication and operations. Developmental milestones of my child were recorded and shared with me.
My child's physical, cognitive, social, and communication skills were all immensely improved because of the activities they do at the nursery. The kids and teachers at the nursery come from diverse ethical and cultural backgrounds, making this an ideal place for my child to begin integrating with people from different backgrounds.
