Funded Childcare
Working parents may get 30 hours free childcare weekly for children aged 9 months to 4 years.
Current government offer for funded childcare
Government funded childcare is available for eligible families in England. Working parents may receive up to 30 hours of funded childcare a week for children aged 9 months to 4 years. All children aged 3 and 4 receive 15 hours of funded early education a week, regardless of household income. Eligible families of 2-year-olds may also receive 15 hours a week.
Parents must apply through the government childcare portal to receive an eligibility code. This code, along with their National Insurance number and the child’s date of birth, must be given to the nursery. Parents need to reconfirm their details every three months to continue receiving the funded hours.
To qualify for the 30-hour offer, parents must live and work in England, meet the income requirements, and not earn more than £100,000 a year. Parents who are self-employed, on maternity or paternity leave, or starting a new job may still qualify.
Funded hours can be used during normal nursery sessions. Families can also choose to stretch their hours across more weeks if needed. The nursery accepts government funded childcare and supports parents through the application process.
