Our Story
Kinder City began with a simple vision—to create a nursery where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn every day.
Since opening our doors in April 2015, we’ve continually invested in our people, facilities, and learning environments to provide the very best start for every child. Every milestone in our journey reflects our commitment to improving children’s experiences, supporting working families, and strengthening the communities we proudly serve.
What started as one family-run nursery has grown into one of Bedfordshire’s largest early years settings. From achieving successive Ofsted GOOD ratings to purchasing our own building, creating new learning environments, and opening a second nursery, every decision has been made with one purpose—to give more children the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Although we’re proud of everything we’ve achieved since opening our doors in 2015, we believe there is always room to improve. Every investment we make is driven by one purpose—to create even better learning environments and opportunities for the children and families we proudly serve.
As Kinder City continues to grow, our values remain unchanged. We will always strive to provide exceptional childcare, inspiring learning experiences, and a safe, welcoming environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

“When I opened Kinder City in 2015, my vision was simple—to create a nursery that I would be proud for any family to choose.
Over the years, we’ve continually invested in our people, our facilities, and our learning environments because I believe the quality of a child’s early years can positively shape their future. Every improvement we’ve made has been driven by one goal: to give children the very best start in life.
Today, with the opening of Kinder City Parkway Nursery and further investment in our Hitchin Road nursery, that vision remains exactly the same. We will never stop looking for ways to improve the experiences we provide, support local families, and create inspiring places where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
While I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together over the past decade, I truly believe the best chapters of our story are still to come.”

Our Journey
April 2015 - Kinder City Opens
Kinder City officially welcomed its first children, beginning our journey of providing high-quality childcare and early years education in Luton.
August 2016 - First Ofsted GOOD Rating
Just over a year after opening, Kinder City achieved its first GOOD Ofsted rating, recognising our high standards of care and education.
July 2019 - Maintaining High Standards
We proudly retained our GOOD Ofsted rating, reflecting our ongoing commitment to delivering outstanding care, learning, and support for local families.
August 2023 - Securing Our Future
The Director purchased the nursery building, allowing long-term investment and giving us the freedom to continually improve our learning environments.
January 2025 - A New Pre-school Floor Opens
Following an investment of over £250,000, our new preschool floor opened, creating bright, inspiring learning spaces and one of Bedfordshire's largest daycare nurseries.
June 2025 - Rated GOOD by Ofsted
Kinder City proudly retained its GOOD Ofsted rating, recognising our dedicated team and continued commitment to high-quality early years education.
November 2025 - New Outdoor Play Area
Our garden was transformed with soft surfacing, artificial grass, natural wooden play equipment, and covered areas for outdoor learning throughout the year.
April 2026 - Major Nursery Expansion
Construction began on a new 120sqm extension, creating a modern reception, dedicated parent facilities, and a purpose-built baby room for growing families.
September 2026 - Parkway Nursery Opens
Kinder City Parkway Nursery opened, bringing our trusted childcare, inspiring learning environments, and family values to even more children across the Luton community.
